Punch a tree

Logs craft into planks, planks into a crafting table. That is the whole start of the game.

Light it up

Coal ore + planks makes torches. Place them in caves — mobs only spawn in the dark.

Dig safe

Never dig straight down: lava pools sit below Y=14, right where diamonds are.

Night falls fast

A full day lasts twelve minutes. Zombies and creepers spawn once the sun sets — build a shelter first.

Creepers explode

If one hisses next to you, run. The blast destroys terrain in a three block radius.

Build big

Switch to Creative from the pause menu for unlimited blocks and flight.

What is in the world

  • • Oak, birch and spruce trees, cacti, flowers, pumpkins and mushrooms
  • • Pigs, sheep and cows by day; zombies and creepers at night
